The winery
DonnaLia is rooted in a historic estate known locally as “Ca’ Bianca,” once owned by the Avogadro di Casanova family. Located in the heart of the Canavese DOC area in northern Piedmont, the winery stands on the southeastern slopes of the Serra Morenica d’Ivrea, a unique glacial amphitheater shaped during the Quaternary period. Protected by hills and influenced by nearby rivers and lakes, this territory offers an ideal microclimate for viticulture. DonnaLia was created with the goal of restoring the historic wine identity of Salussola, an area deeply connected to viticulture since Roman times and once among the most important wine-producing zones of the region. Combining history, landscape, and tradition, DonnaLia preserves the agricultural heritage of Canavese through wines that express authenticity, elegance, and a strong sense of place.

Produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes grown on the morainic soils of northern Piedmont, this Canavese Nebbiolo DOC expresses elegance, freshness, and territorial identity. Harvested in early October, the wine undergoes long fermentation in stainless steel followed by aging in French oak tonneaux and extended bottle refinement.
