Cantina Ruggieri was founded in Lizzano following the vision of Luigi Ruggieri, who in 1959 united local growers to enhance Salento’s native viticulture. Officially established with the 1961 harvest, the winery combines traditional farming with modern winemaking techniques. Today, with over 400 growers and 500 hectares of vineyards, Cantina Ruggieri produces wines rooted in the identity of Salento, focusing on quality, innovation, and the valorization of native grape varieties.

Cantina Ruggieri Macchia Primitivo di Manduria DOP is a rich and structured red wine produced from Primitivo grapes grown in the heart of Salento. Hand-harvested grapes undergo temperature-controlled maceration before aging in large French oak barrels and stainless steel.
