The winery
Villa Raiano was founded in 1996 in the former olive mill of the Basso family in Raiano, Serino in the province of Avellino. The winery, built in 2009 on a hill in San Michele di Serino, is surrounded by vineyards and chestnut woods and overlooks the Sabato Valley from its source at the foot of Mount Terminio to Altavilla Irpina. The Classici range is inspired by Irpinian tradition, blending grapes from different areas to achieve balance and expression.

Description
Greco di Tufo DOCG 100% Greco from Altavilla Irpina in Ponte dei Santi in the province of Avellino at 550 meters altitude. Guyot trained with 4500 vines per hectare and yields of 60 quintals per hectare. Silty sandy soils with dark clay veins. Harvest in the first week of October. Soft pressing, static decantation and fermentation in stainless steel at 16°C, followed by 12 months on fine lees and 12 months of bottle ageing.
