Cantina Ruggieri was founded in Lizzano following the vision of Luigi Ruggieri, who in 1959 united local growers to enhance Salento’s native viticulture. Officially established with the 1961 harvest, the winery combines traditional farming with modern winemaking techniques. Today, with over 400 growers and 500 hectares of vineyards, Cantina Ruggieri produces wines rooted in the identity of Salento, focusing on quality, innovation, and the valorization of native grape varieties.

Cantina Ruggieri Negroamaro IGP is an elegant and fruit-driven red wine produced from Negroamaro grapes grown in the vineyards of Lizzano. Hand-harvested grapes undergo temperature-controlled maceration and fermentation before aging in stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal character.
