The winery
Cantina del Taburno is based in Foglianise, at the foot of Monte Taburno in the Sannio Beneventano. Established in 1972. Fruit comes from about 600 ha on the mountain's slopes, in Foglianise, Torrecuso, Vitulano, Campoli del Monte Taburno, Castelpoto, Apollosa, Bonea, Montesarchio, Ponte, Tocco Caudio, Paupisi and Benevento, supplied by local growers. Reds rest in large oak casks and barriques in the historic bottaia. Production includes whites, reds, sparkling wines, selections and specialties.

Wine details
Blend of white grapes from the Sannio, Campania, hillside sites at 350-500 m, southeast exposure, calcareous clay marl, Guyot espalier, 4,500 vines/ha. Hand-harvested in the first half of September in small containers; grape cooling and oxygen-protected handling, then soft pressing; long fermentation at 14-16 °C, ageing on fine lees with periodic bâtonnage. Mineral, fruity, notes of white-fleshed fruit. Fresh palate. Serve at 10-12 °C. Pairs from aperitif through the full meal.
Region
Volcanic complexity meets ancient viticulture across Vesuvius, Irpinia and the southern coast. Fiano and Greco rank among Italy's finest whites; Taurasi delivers Aglianico at its most powerful. Strong terroir credibility, food-pairing versatility and margins that work across all menu tiers.
