The winery
Cantine di Marzo has operated from its historic cellars since 1647. For nearly four centuries, harvested grapes have passed through here before vinification, and finished bottles still depart from these same cellars before shipping worldwide. With a history spanning almost 400 years, Cantine di Marzo is Campania's oldest continuously operating winery, still owned by descendants of the di Marzo family. The estate is housed in a historic palazzo in Tufo (Avellino) that incorporates the town's ancient medieval walls.

100% Greco from Vigna Torre Favale, Tufo. West-south exposure at 260-300m elevation. Clay, limestone, sand, conglomerate soils. Guyot-trained vines, average age 8 years. Hand-harvested mid-October. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. Nine months on fine lees. Eighteen months bottle aging. Limited production of 4,000 bottles. Mulino Giardino pays tribute to Tufo's industrial heritage—the sulfur mines and steam train of the legendary "Wine Railway" promoted by Donato di Marzo.…
