The winery
AlbeaLand is a quality framework developed to set consistent production standards across a network of 12 selected partner growers focused on native varieties. The programme defines shared vineyard management guidelines - pruning, shoot selection, canopy management, green harvesting - alongside variety-specific protocols including double harvest for rosé production, traditional thinning for reds and hand-harvesting in crates with refrigerated transport. Growers are assessed against targets for technological, aromatic and polyphenolic ripeness, sugar levels, acidity and pH, meeting the standards of certified organic production.

100% Primitivo IGP Puglia from 30-year-old low espalier vines on calcareous clay and pebble soils at 380m in Gioia del Colle, 3,200 vines per hectare, no irrigation or weeding. Hand-harvested at slight over-ripeness, part of the grapes dried in a fruttaio. Fermented in stainless steel at 24-25°C, 16 days skin maceration plus 10 days post-fermentation, complete malolactic, 15 months in American oak, 6 months bottle rest.
